My Philosophy

The world around me has gone utterly mad.  Its insistent and  relentless pursuit of status and stuff leaves me seeking more and more for a quiet, contemplative place where there is peace and simplicity.  I want to enjoy my wife, children, and grandchildren; I want to create beauty through music, photography and wood; I desire to live a life of community and harmony with my neighbors and my environment, and I choose to achieve all of that without smart phones or large screen TV's.  Within that context I hope to develop a meandering chronicle that portrays a few of my joys and discoveries, and should you find something here that you enjoy, I thank you for walking that portion of my journey with me.
